I Thought You Knew  Keith Urban

Written by Skip Ewing, Keith Urban and Matt Rollings
The chord voicings in this arrangement mimic the big piano chords
on a single guitar. The chord names allow for either the extension
or the bass note to be omitted in a simplified performance.
2 beats per chord
` = 2 beats
' = 1 beat

CHORDS:

 D ---0----0---3-----0----2----2-----2-----3-----0--
 A ------------3---------------------------0--------
 E ---3----3---------3---------3-----------1-----1--

These voicings give a reasonable sound which is not too 'dirgy'.
Bb/C for C13 is the biggest compromise.
Am9 is a passing chord on the 'and' of Beat-2
Harmony returns to Am on Beat-4
A similar passing chord occurs in the CHORUS:
[C] "I [G/C]thought [C]you [Bb/C]knew"
"We would al- ways be"
