Ok, how about if you forget that I ever suggested barring the chords during
the "Boxcars..." chorus.  I tend to notice that guitarists don't play
something a certain way if it can be played easier in a different way.  The
"change riff" during that chorus is just too damn tricky to do from the barre.
So play the chords open and do the "change riff" on the B string and the G.
