Song map--Intro(riff), verse, pre-chorus, chorus, riff, verse,
pre-chorus, chorus, outro(riff and solo)
This song is very fun to play, but it will take some patience to learn
and perfect. There are a lot of fills that Crispian does on the album that
are not present when the group plays it live, so that makes it a bit less
daunting. This holds true for most of the groups songs. Nevertheless, I
included some of them, so play around with them and put them into the song if
you want. Here we go...
Intro(riff)--This is used a lot during the song. After the chorus, in
the middle of the verse and all the way to the end while the solo is going
on. It's difficult if you try and stick every note. Fortunately, Crispian
doesn't on the album and live. I don't mean he screws up, rather mutes the
note or pulls off it very quickly. Listen to the album for rhythm.

 e-----------------------------
 b-----------------------------8
 g--------9------7s6----------7
 d------------9-------9p7h9----
 a---7-7------------------------
 E------------------------------

The part that you can screw with is the 9p7h9 section. Play with it.
Unfortunately I can't play and explain it, so do your best. You can send me
any questions. I'll try to help. Crispian also plays this right before he
starts singing. This is a variation that is used at other parts of the song
too. Use the CD for rhythm for the unison bends at the end.

 e-------------7-------7-------7-----
 b-------------10(u12)-10(u12)-10(u12)
 g--------9---------------------------
 d------------------------------------
 a---7-7------------------------------
 E------------------------------------

Verse--The verse is based on three chords, E, G, and A. All Crispian
does is play the bass note of each chord, then play the riff twice.
Something you could play for the verse would be these two...

 e-------------
 b-------------
 g-------------
 d-------------
 a-------------
 E---0---3---5-

or this:

 e-----------------
 b-----------------
 g-----------------
 d------------2----
 a---2--------0----
 E---0----3--------

Pre-chorus--The words here are 'It's a feeling...' and you alternate
between the two chords A and D. Here's how I play them and a couple of fills
you could use. One note on the fills is to just repeat them quickly.

 e--------------
 b---5----10---
 g---6----11---
 d---7----12---
 a--------------
 E---5----10---

The fills...

 e----------15
 b---15h17----

[and]

 e-----------12
 b---12h15-----

Chorus--This occurs when Crispian sings 'Don't you try and talk...' and
is three chords, A, G, and D. Again, there are some fills which I will put
down. I am also going to give you a chord he uses from a live version I
have. Strum it in a rhythm you think fits. Improvise too. Learning songs
and solos is very important, but make sure you improvise. The breaks in the
song are a good chance to do that, as well as working on playing lead and
rhythm at once. Here you go...

 e-----------------
 b---5----3--------
 g---6----4----7---
 d---7----5----7---
 a-------------5---
 E---5----3--------

The chord you can use...

 b---9---
 g---9---
 d---x---
 a---7---
 E-------

Fills...

 e---7--------7--------7--------12------12-----------------------
 b---10(u12)--10(u12)--10(u12)--15(u17)--15(u17)----8---10p8-----
