[C]    [G]    [F]    [C]    [G]   [G7]
My [C]makeup is dry and it [G]cracks on my [G7]chin
I'm [F]drowning my sorrows in [C]whiskey and [G]gin
The [C]lion tamer's whip doesn't [G]crack any[G7]more
The [F]lions they won't bite and the[C] tigers won't[G] roar
[F]La la la [Dm]La la la  [Bb]La la la [Eb]La
So  [Dm]let's all drink to the  [C]death of a [G]clown
[C]Won't someone help me to [G]break up this[G7] crown
[F]Let's all drink to the [C]death of a [G]clown
La la la la la la la la la la

Let's all drink to the death of a clown

The old fortune teller lies dead on the floor

Nobody needs fortunes told anymore

The trainer of insects is crouched on his knees

And frantically looking for runaway fleas

La la la la la la la la la la

Let's all drink to the death of a clown

So won't someone help me to breakup this crown

Let's all drink to the death of a clown
La la la la la la la la la la

Let's all drink to the death of a clown
[C]La la la la la la [G]la la la [G7]la
[F]La la la la la la [C]la la la [G]la===========

Subject: Death of a Clown

As per the chord file for above:
[F]La la la [Dm]La la la  [C]La la la [G]La....I believe that the chord sequence should be
[F]La la la [Dm]La la la L[Bb]a la la L[Eb]a.

Mr. Armstrong is correct. Fortunately most uf us can't sing like Dave Davies, and the A transposition if this song is much easier.
