The Am* is also used at the end of the verse 1 and 2 ( The Am Parts are all
Am* Am ), but it's not so important. It's just an interesting note for piano
players I guess.
Additional Picking :

 --------------------

If you want it to sound like the piano in the song, then you have to do a
picking like this one here :

 e |------------------------|------------------------|
 b |--1-----1-----1-----1---|--------------1-----1---|
 g |--0-----0-----0-----0---|--2-----2-----2-----2---|
 D |--2-----2-----2-----2---|--2-----2-----2-----2---|
 A |--3--3-----3-----3-----3|--0--0-----0-----0-----0|
 E |------------------------|------------------------|

There's a ship out on the oc____________ean

 e |------------------------|------------------------|
 b |--1-----1-----1-----1---|--1-----1-----0-----0---|
 g |--2-----2-----2-----2---|--0-----0-----0-----0---|
 D |--3--3-----3-----3-----3|------------------------|
 A |------------------------|------------------------|
 E |------------------------|--3--3-----3-----3-----3|

As the mer_____cy of the se_________________a
But for guitar players I wouldn't recommend this picking. Better try a
standard finger- or flatpicking.
Additional Comments :

 ---------------------

I heard the song a few hours ago for the first time and said to myself that I
must be the one to transcribe it. :-)
Anyway ...... I'm pretty sure that the original Key of this Song was D and
not C ! For guitar players the song would sound much better in D ( especially
the Dm Chord is an octave to high, if you compare the guitar and the original
piano ). They must have decided to change the Key to C when they decided this
song to be a piano song.
