Going for the Gold  Bright Eyes

I’ve tried to ammend this from the tab that was already there to make it easier to sing and play.
I think the other one is probably technically correct but I just wanted it to be more
and simple, since bright eyes is more about the lyrics anyways.

[G] [G/F#] [Fsus2/F] [Bsus4/E]
[D7] [D7sus2]
There's a [G]voice on the [F#/G]phone
Telling [Fsus2/F]what had happened
Some kind of con[Bsus4/E]fusion
More like a dis[D7]aster[D7sus2]
And it [G]wondered how [G/F#]you were left [Fsus2/F]unaffected
But you had no [Bsus4/E]knowledge
No, the chemicals [D7]covered y[D7sus2]ou
(Pattern Repeats)
And so a jury was formed
As more liquor was poured
No need for conviction
They're not thirsting for justice
But slept with the lies
I keep inside my head
I found out I was guilty
I found out I was guilty
But I won't be around for the sentencing
Because I'm leaving
On the next airplane
( Tab from: http://www.guitartabs.cc/tabs/b/bright_eyes/going_for_the_gold_crd.html )
And though I [C]know that my [D]actions are [G]impossible to [Bm]justify
They seem [C]adequate to [D]fill up my [G]time
And if I could [C]talk to my[D]self like I [Bm]was someone [Em]else
Then [C]maybe I could [D]take your a[G]dvice[Bm] [Em]
And I wouldn't[C] act like such an a[D]sshole all the time
(Verse Pattern Again)
There's a film on the wall
Makes the people look small
Who are sitting beside it
All consumed in the drama
They must return to their lives
Once the hero has died
They will drive to the office
Stopping somewhere for coffee
Where the folk singers, poets, and playwrights convene
Dispensing their wisdom
Oh, dear amateur orator
They will detail their pain
In some standard refrain
They will recite their sadness
Like it's some kind of contest
Bridge:
Well, if it [F#]is
I think I am [Bm]winning it
All beaming with [G]confidence
As I [Asus2]make my final lap
The gold medal [F#]gleams
So hang it [Bm]around my neck
Because I am [G]deserving it
The champion of [Asus]idiots
But a [C]kid carries his [D]Walkman on that l[G]ong bus ride to [Bm]Omaha
I know a [C]girl who cries when she [D]practices [G]violin
Because each n[C]ote sounds so [D]pure, it just [Bm]cuts into [Em]her
And then the [C]melody comes [D]pouring out her [G]eyes[Bm] [Em]
Now to [C]me, everything e[D]lse, it just sounds like a lie
