Verse::
[Em] [D]
I can remember the night oh so well.
[D] [Bm] [Asus2] [Em] [D/F#]
The way the moon shone down on the Mississippi river swell.
[Em] [D]
Not a soul out there could have known.
[D] [Bm] [Asus2] [Em] [D/F#]
Just how quick and fast that fog would come down
1st Break::
[A]
In the middle of a silent night
[C] [D/F#]
Heard that whistle blow
Chorus::
[Em] [Em] [D/F#] [D/F#]
Was the wrong place at the wrong time
[Am] [Cmaj7] [C] [D/F#]
Now the tracks are bent out of line
[Em] [D/F#] [Am] [Cmaj7] [C] [D/F#]
I said down on the Riverbed is where you'll find those souls
[Em] [Em] [D/F#] [D/F#]
Was the first mate on the foredeck
[Am] [Cmaj7] [C] [D/F#]
Ran my ship aground
[Em] [D/F#] [Am] [Cmaj7] [C]
I said down on the Riverbed is where you'll find those souls
D/F# Transition to the Main Riff again, play it 4 times
Where you'll find those souls..
2nd Verse::
[Em] [D]
Now the train had just left the station in New Orleans
[D] [Bm] [Asus2] [Em] [D/F#]
'Bout the same time we hit the bridge at two fifteen
[Em] [D]
I can still hear the twisting metal cry
[D] [Bm] [Asus2] [Em] [D/F#]
As a broken track threw the train off the line
Repeat the 1st Break x1
Repeat the Chorus x1
Toss the riff in once before moving to the 2nd break

 e|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
 B|-----0--x-x--x-x------------------------------------- -----------------|
 G|-----0--x-x--x-x-------0h2p0------------------------- x1 -----------------|
 D|-----2--x-x--x-x-------------2--2p0-----------------time------------------|
 A|-----2--x-x--x-x------------------------------------- -----------------|
 E|--0---------------0h3-----------------------------------------------------|

[(G)] [(Asus2)]

 e|--------------------3--x--0-----------------------------------------------|
 B|-----0--x-x--x-x----3--x--0-----------------------------------------------|
 G|-----0--x-x--x-x----0--x--2-----------------------------------------------|
 D|-----2--x-x--x-x----0--x--2-----------------------------------------------|
 A|-----2--x-x--x-x----2--x--0-----------------------------------------------|
 E|--0-----------------3--x--x--3--------------------------------------------|

2nd Break::
[G] [Em] [D/F#] [B7]
I know I'll never find any kind of peace of mind, oh but you can rest assured
[C] [D/F#]
I will always remember the sound of that whistle blow
Solo::
Note: Some chords in the solo are played as barre chords for style points
-It still sounds alright if you just play them as normal
-It's also a little more up tempo, and higher notes in the chords
are more accentuated than the lower notes, give the song a listen
to hear the change in style during the solo.
Sweep pick this on an upstroke, followed by the Am
It might take some practice to get the rolling
sound of the notes down

Back to the Chorus x1
Riff X4
End with :: G - Asus2 - Em - Em
Last thing to note:
- The transitions from Am - Cmaj7 - C have an Am7 chord in
between to get the right sound just use one finger to move between those
three chords so that you're always holding down the Am7 (x02010) as you go.
Wooooo first tab! May not be dead on but hopefully I didn't make a horrific mess of things :)
Also be sure to check out Davy Knowles, as he is a tremendously talented dude.
