Jackie, Dressed in Cobras  The New Pornographers

ubi_rex@hotmail.com
I don't know about the "who's gonna star the sunshine" bridge. On
the album, all I can hear after the first A chord, are bass notes. Live,
it looks like they're playing some kind of chords I can't pick out,
but I've tried at the bottom. I think playing power chords with the
bass roots works ok. Let me know if you have any suggestions.
I think this is the voicing for the intro
A=X07650, E=022100
Intro
[A] [E] [A] [E] [A] [E] [A---]
Jackie, [E]you yourself said it best when you said:
[A] "There's been a break in the continuum.
The [C#m]United States used to be lots of fun.
Back when the [A]man and the [E]myth of the [A]sands and the [E]cliffs
composed a [A]symphony to good works and better business [A-F-E]
[A] [A-F-E] [A] [A-F-G]
Jackie, [E]you yourself said it best when you said"
[A] "One day we'll look upon a washed-up Atlantic;
[C#m] get our kicks on an ocean of antics."
And, "[A]making [E] [A]history has [E]never been so [A]easy..."
So [A]visualize suc[B]cess but don't believe your eyes.
There's a [A]world of [C#m]wisdom and [F#m]pain to de[Am]spise
and when [A]people get [E]paid just to [A]set you [E]straight it means...
[A] [E] [A]
A* B*
Are you gonna start the sunshine?
D* C#* (Repeat)
are you gonna start the sunshine
[A]Visualize [B]success!
[A]Visualize [B]success!
[A]Visualize [B]success, but don't believe your eyes!
What's a [A]version of the [C#m]world without the [F#m]will to des[Am]pise it?
And when [A]people get [E]paid just to [A]set you [E]straight it means...
Jac[A]kie! Hey, [E]hey, hey, hey! Jac[A]kie! Hey, [E]hey, hey, hey!
Jac[A]kie! Hey, [E]hey, hey, hey! Jac[A]kie! Hey, [E]hey, hey, hey!
Jac[A]kie! [E]

Notes for "who's gonna start the sunshine"
I tried to make up chords out of the harmonies, but I'm not
getting it and I'm tired. Why hasn't someone already done this for me?
Sometimes you want to just play a song and there's no tab out there...
Maybe they're playing this live? I can hear the high b.
Aadd9=XX7657 B=XX4447 D6=XX7777 C#=XX666X
or just play power chords.
