Long Haul Driver  Luke Doucet

Tabbed by: Rick Ammazzini
Email: webpirate@hotmail.com
Luke Doucet has a very unique style of playing that I believe is influenced by people
Brian Setzer and other Rockibilly players....I have seen him live and caught him finger
single notes while keeping the chords ringing making you think that there are two
in the band...VERY fast and talented player...good luck trying to keep up with the real solos....

[C]I don't think that I will see you,

I [Em]know you land at 8 o'clock but [Am]I'll be gone by 5.
So [C]I'll be waving out the window [G]as I pass the airport by.

[C]I'll turn the rig towards the north, but [G]still away from you-
[Em]are waltzing through my mind's blue eye and [Am]strumming your guitar.
[C]Two thousand miles between us yet [G]I'm never, ever that far.
[Em]Because, I am a long haul driver[Am] and I'm leaving at dawn.

[C]I'll be picking Brown-Eyed-Susan's by the roa[G]d as twilight falls.
[Em]When I cross back into Canada, well [Am]I may stop for a smoke.
[C]Yes, I know these things will kill me, but my [G]dear, so might the road.
[Em]I am a long haul driver and I'm [Am]leaving at dawn.
[C]I don't think that I will see you,
