Canadian Rose  Blues Traveler

Intro: B F# E B (plus harmonica)
[B] [E] [F#]
[B] [F#] [E] [B]
[B] [E] [F#] [B]
[B]Autumn [F#]air it [E]carries me there
[B]Less than an [F#]hour to[E] go
[B]Six hu[F#]ndred mi[E]les an hour
And [G#m]still it feels so sl[F#]ow
[B]I'm trying to [F#]get back to Bu[E]rlington
To a [B]square in the [F#]center of tow[E]n
To a [B]spot on a [F#]wooden [E]table
Where her [G#m]feet didn't reach the g[F#]round
And when she [B]kisses me it [F#]tasted like [E]cinnamon
And her [B]skin smelled of [F#]cider and [E]rose
And when she [B]looked at me we [F#]both got qu[E]iet
And my heart beats so [G#m]hard we were in s[F#]o close
[B]Once for such a beautiful [F#]while that still makes me [B]smile
And she [B]called me her[F#] ugly Am[E]erican
And I would [B]call her my C[F#]anadian [E]flower
And I [B]don't think that we'll [F#]ever be the[E]re again
We had such [G#m]power[F#]
And she would [B]call me he[F#]r ugly [E]American
And I'll [B]remember my Cana[F#]dian ro[E]se
[B]Especially when the f[F#]all comes to Bu[E]rlington
We were in so [G#m]close[F#]
Harmonica solo: intro chords
I [B]finally made [F#]it this town looks rea[E]rranged
I [B]don't know these [F#]people an[E]ymore
But in th[B]e best ways [F#]not much [E]else has changed
From the [G#m]way it was bef[F#]ore
[B]And at least they still [F#]have this certai[E]n table
Where I [B]once carved a par[F#]ticular [E]name
I run my [B]fingers through the [F#]weathered [E]carving
And I [G#m]almost can feel the [F#]same
And my [B]mouth it almost [F#]tastes just like ci[E]nnamon
As I po[B]nder what my [F#]pilgrimage me[E]ans
And I t[B]ry to [F#]figure out where Vanc[E]ouver is from here
And I [G#m]listen to the [F#]leaves
[B]If only for a beautiful [F#]while that still makes me [B]smile
And she [B]called me her[F#] ugly Am[E]erican
And I would [B]call her my C[F#]anadian [E]flower
And I [B]don't think that we'll [F#]ever be the[E]re again
We had such [G#m]power[F#]
And she would [B]call me he[F#]r ugly [E]American
And I'll [B]remember my Cana[F#]dian ro[E]se
[B]Especially when the f[F#]all comes to Bu[E]rlington
We were in so [G#m]close[F#]
Harmonica solo: verse chords X3
Second and third time softer
And every single [B]hope and dream [F#]I could ever [E]conjure up
Passionately s[B]prings in me and[F#] all things are[E] possible
Plausible and [B]perfectly [F#]both of ours fore[E]ver after and every day
[G#m]At least it seemed t[F#]hat way
[B]Once for such a beautifu[F#]l while that still makes me [B]smile
And she [B]called me her[F#] ugly Am[E]erican
And I would [B]call her my C[F#]anadian [E]flower
And I [B]don't think that we'll [F#]ever be the[E]re again
We had such [G#m]power[F#]
And she would [B]call me he[F#]r ugly [E]American
And I'll [B]remember my Cana[F#]dian ro[E]se
[B]Especially when the f[F#]all comes to Bu[E]rlington
We were in so [G#m]close[F#]
