What Might Have Been  Little Texas

I've seen some versions of this song out there and they seem a bit more complicated than
need be. I think this is a nice way to play through the chords of this song for
intermediate players (like me) who want to keep it simple and work towards adding more
difficult chords as they improve (i.e. in other versions Cm/G is listed. Cadd9 sounds
just as nice
and is easier to get to at times. Also D/G in other posts you can play as a D and I
think it still sounds good. Bm is probably the hardest chord in this song but it's the
correct chord and sounds good). Just my thoughts as this is my first attempt at posting
a tab and I wanted to start with this. I'm in no way claiming this is 100% correct by
any means
it's just a nice version of the song that's easier to play in my opinion. The finger
picking intro I figured out from looking at a combination of other tabs. It may not be
exact but it's pretty darn close and sounds good to me. Hope you enjoy!

[G]Sure I think about you [D]now and then
Bu[Cadd9]t it's been a long long [G]time
[G]I've got a good life now [D]I've moved on
So[Cadd9] when you cross my [D]mind[Am] [G/B]
[C]I try not to think about
What [G]might have been[G/B]
'Caus[Em]e that was then[C]
And we have [D]taken different [Am]roads[G/B]
[C]We can't go back again
[G]There's no use giving in[Am]
And th[G/B]ere's no way to [D]know[Cadd9]
What might have been
(INTRO REPEAT)
[G]We could sit and talk about this [D]all night long
And [Cadd9]wonder why we didn't l[G]ast
[G]Yes they might be the best days [D]we will ever know
But[Cadd9] we'll have to leave them in the [D]past[Am] [G/B]
[C]So try not to think about
[G]What might have been[G/B]
'Cause[Em] that was then[C]
And we have [D]taken different [Am]roads[G/B]
[C]We can't go back again
[G]There's no use giving in[Am]
And there's [G/B]no way to [D]know[Cadd9]
What might have [G]been
(BRIDGE)
[Em]That same old look in your [Bm]eyes
It's a beautiful [C]night
I'm so tempted to [D]stay[G]
[Em]But too much time has gone [Bm]by
We should just say good[C]bye
And turn and walk [Dsus]away
[D] [Am7] [Bm7]
[C]And try not to think about
What m[G]ight have been[G/B]
'Cause t[Em]hat was then[C]
And we have [D]taken different [Am]roads[G/B]
[C]We can't go back again
[G]There's no use giving in[Am]
And there's [G/B]no way to [D]know[Cadd9]
What might have [G]been
[Am]No we[G/B]'ll never k[D]now[Cadd9]
What might have been
